Ashley is a fifth grade student at T. C. Wilemon Elementary School in the Waxahachie School District. Her favorite activities at school are reading, P. E., and math. After school, she enjoys roller blading, basketball, going shopping, listening to music, and riding her bicycle.

Ashley is the daughter of Susan and Paul O'Rear. She has a brother named Justin. Ashley was diagnosed with medulloblastoma, a brain tumor, in March 1997.
