Subject: URGENT PRAYER REQUEST

I am sending this prayer request to people on my address list. Please forward it to as many people as you can, as quickly as you can. Thank you!

My name is Paul O'Rear, and I serve as youth minister to the College Street Church of Christ in Waxahachie, Texas. My wife Susan and I have two children, Ashley and Justin. Ashley is 9 years old and Justin is 7.

At 11:30 PM on Saturday, March 15, 1997 (Central Standard Time), Susan and I took Ashley to Children's Medical Center in Dallas, Texas, to find out why she was having a series of annoying health problems, the latest of which was double vision which would not go away. To make a long story short, they did a CT scan, and at about 2:30 AM told us that they had found a brain tumor. They do not know at the time of this writing (about 8:00 AM on Sunday, March 16) whether the tumor is benign or malignant, whether it is treatable, operable, both, or neither. A series of further tests over the next few days and a surgery (probably on Tuesday, March 18) will provide answers to these questions, and will tell us what Ashley's prognosis is.

PLEASE PRAY FERVENTLY THAT GOD WILL REMOVE THIS TUMOR FROM ASHLEY'S BRAIN, OR THAT HE WILL CAUSE IT TO BE REMOVED WITHOUT COMPLICATION BY THE DOCTORS. I believe with all my heart that God has the power to do that, and I would like for His throne to be flooded with requests from Christians all over the world asking for His intervention in Ashley's health.

Thank you, and again, please pass this message on to as many people as you possibly can (via e-mail, snail mail, fax, word-of-mouth, etc.)

May the God of all Mercy grant you grace and peace.

-Paul
