In the alley by my home on North Main, there is a tiny grave of a little girl..
This best I can tell what it says

I have been a O’Rear for over 70 years and enjoyed every minute of it.
This website was forwarded to me by one of my younger brothers of which have two.
I have lived in over six states over the last 40 years. I now live in Alabama and there are several O’Rears of use with the family name and I am not a membere of clan in this area.

My Dad was Nolan Larry O’Rear. His father was Horace Clinton O’Rear. His father was Lee Roy O’Rear. His father was James Addison O’Rear. As far as I can tell, there are no residents of Orearville today.

HI Paul. I’m the father of the other Paul O’Rear (!)

Here’s some very interesting information. Quite a while back, I was on a plane going to Toronto. I seat mate asked me my name, And I told him. To my amazement he said “oh, you’re French. I said in amazement, what, why did you said that?

“I live in Alsance-Lorraine, and some of my best friends are named O’Rear !!!!” A lot of them live there. And I determined that they had moved there, way badk in the Potato Famine, Or, during Cromwells reign. So we now have an explnation for the myths? that we were either Irish or Frendh.

Isn’t that cool?
